Blockchain for data, Flare, has announced a new partnership with Bloxico, a pioneering blockchain technology company, to bring community trust metrics to the Flare network with the introduction of a Reputation Score.

The partnership will see the development of a new platform that calculates a Flare Reputation Score for all network participants by combining objective on-chain data with subjective community-based measures. With the scoring and voting system introduced by the Flare Reputation Score, community members will have the ability to assess and rate each other based on participation, network contribution, and general behavior.

The Flare Reputation Score reduces the barrier to entry for new community members learning about the ecosystem by reducing the perceived risk of deploying capital to otherwise unknown providers.

By combining on and off-chain metrics, the system is designed to help users make more informed decisions when selecting which infrastructure providers to engage with. Network users will be able to pick their Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO) data provider or delegate their FLR tokens to a specific network validator based on community-assisted data provided by the Flare Reputation Score.

The system will also be able to provide reputation scores for applications on the network and other key network participants, such as FAssets agents and LayerCake bandwidth providers when these systems are launched on the mainnet by the Flare Labs team.
